We don't brew beer to make money, we make money to brew better beer.
How to get to Breakwater Brewery & Taproom
We're located amongst our neighbours on Lorne Road, in the middle of Dover. Parking is at a premium for all our neighbours. Lorne Road is the heart of Dover a narrow street. We're tucked in the corner between the river and river bridge, Our wood fronted Tap Room has a unique atmosphere to sit back, relax and enjoy a pint of our beers, reflecting both Dover, whilst much like many brewery-taprooms of California and Germany. Decorated with copious amounts of modern breweriana it's also the home of our brewhouse, on show.
How to get to us
Beyond driving, there are many options to get here safely:
By foot, we're a short 15min walk from Dover Priory Railway station, 10mins from River and 20-30mins from Kersney Railway station (and Kersney Parks)
We're on the Dour river trail (Download PDF Tourist Map here), which also passes many of the other MicroPubs in Dover; enroute are the Mash Tun, Rack of Ale, the Lanes, the Thirsty Scarecrow (see the Dover Good Beer Trail) and many other free houses always worth a visit.
It's strongly advised that there is limited toward no parking at the brewery. Whether you chose to park toward the Hospital, Coombe Valley Road and walk back is entirely up to you. Please do not obstruct our neighbours.
There is a fast Hi-speed service from London St Pancras (1hr 15), Ashford (25 mins) (connecting with the Eurostar) and connections from Thanet and west Kent. Dover Priory is a well serviced railway station. There is also Kersney/Temple Ewell that is on the Canterbury line, a pleasant walk down the river valley through the Kersney Abbey and Russel Gardens Parks.
Dover has plenty of professional Taxi Services; Heritage being one we've been recommended. +44 1304 201915 - there is no Uber/Lyft.
We don't currently have any bike racks but there is a cast iron fence aside the river that has been used to chain too.
